Hello! Long time no write. 🙂 It’s been a hot minute, I’ve been super busy at work and getting ready for this move has been –whoa– a lot of work! But anyway, I wanted to share some items I’ve been loving this past month (err…quarter? Where has 2019 gone?!) So here are my makeup favorites — March 2019!

Starting with skin care, this Super Peptide Serum by Good Molecules ($12) has been something that I’ve been using every night before my skin care routine. It is supposed to help reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles for a “healthy youthful glow” and so far, I’ve been enjoying it a lot! Also, I love that its affordable skincare, when so many serums are not. They also have a lot of different types of serums — definitely check it out!

Next up! Foundation. This L’Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear 24 Hour Foundation ($14.99) has been a go to this past month! Its nice a light weight but it does give great coverage that is build-able. The only downside is that it is scented and that can be a little off putting at first, but it does go away as soon as you blend it out. 10/10 do recommend.

Next up is concealers — because I don’t know about you, but I need to conceal all the things! I have two concealers I’ve been loving lately, and one is expensive and one is affordable so something for everyone! First up: Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Self-Setting Concealer ($28)

Now, you might be thinking self setting? Say what?! Yes. It really does set nice and matte and no powder necessary. I will say, I still end up putting some powder on it, since that’s just how I do things…but you totally don’t have to with this concealer. Up next is the ColourPop no Filter Matte Concealer ($6)

This concealer is so nice and thick! You definitely don’t need a whole lot to conceal what you need to, so for $6 it will lat you a long time. The applicator is also really nice and it feels like a high-end concealer. Win!
Alrighty, moving on to the rest of yo face. There’s a few bronzer’s/bronzing palettes that I really like — lets talk about them. First up, the Pur Skin Perfecting Powder Bronzing Act Matte Bronzer ($26) This bronzer smells like vanilla sugar and it blends so nicely on the face! It’s just a nice way to warm up the face without being over powering. It comes in two shades, and I think it’s totally worth the cost.

The other item of note is this Cover FX Perfecter Face Palette. It’s more than just bronzer/contour and includes blush, highlighter and a brightening powder. This is a great multi use palette that I can see myself traveling a lot with since it has a lot in it. It’s a bit pricey ($45) but since it does have so many high quality products in it, do think it’s worth it.

On to Blush! I’ve been coveting the Jouer Blush palette for so long now, so I finally just broke down and bought it and goodbye to all my other blushes! This palette is so great for creating different looks and moods on your face. I mean, you can’t always want a candy pink blush, right?! Anyway, for $42 its a great price for the amount of product you get.

Moving on to highlight! I’m in love — like literal love — with the Fenty Beauty Metal Moon Highlighter ($34 ). O-M-G its so good! Very much a “lit from within” kind of vibe, but definitely still enough glam for those days you want to be seen from space.

So enough with the face, lets talk about eyes and brows! I’ve been switching it up in the mascara world lately and have been trying a lot of new stuff, but I keep going back to the It Cosmetics Super Hero Mascara ($24) because it is just so good! It doesn’t smudge, its super black and it separates and lengthens my lashes, which hello — who doesn’t want that?! So 10/10 highly recommend you give this mascara a shot.

But of course, before you put on your mascara, you should really do your eye makeup — the new Riviera Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills is were spring is at! This Palette has 14 brilliant shades, perfect for spring and summer looks. It’s a bit pricey at $45 but if these colors are calling to you, then it’s definitely worth it!

And last but not least for my makeup favorites — march 2019 is brows. Urban decay just launched a bunch of new brow products and color me impressed. They have a great shade range and the best product, IMO, is the Brow Blade ($26 ). It has a fine felt tip on one end and a fine pencil on the other which allows you to effortlessly create a great brow shape! I’ve been using it almost every day and it has literally changed my brow game! Yes!

So that’s it for my makeup favorites — March 2019! Quite the list, but I haven’t done one of these in a while. So I hope you enjoyed it and stay tuned because I’ve got some springy recipes coming to the blog next week!
XO,
Danielle
