Hello hello! How are you today?? Things have been busy at work, but! I’ve made some time to check out Sephora and see what I’d like to purchase or stock up on for this round of the Beauty Insider Event!
Now, if you are a Rouge Member at Sephora then you can shop NOW and get your 20% off — which is a great deal because Sephora doesn’t really have sales…so when these events come around! You better be ready. If you’re a VIB member then beginning in a few days (8/30) you can snag your 15% off and if you are a newbie to Sephora, don’t worry! You can get 10% off as an Insider. I’ve put a chart below so you can see the differences between the levels if you’re unfamiliar.
I have an obsession with makeup and skin care and all things beauty in general so I’m super revved about this sale — but if you’re not, then never fear, this blog will return to yummy treats tomorrow. š Also, while I’ll list a few things that I am purchasing, I’ll also make some recommendations that I think would be a great deal during this sale that I already own — So, lets get to it!
First things first, lets talk about skin care.
Here’s a few things I’m going to purchase to try:
Olehenriksen Glow Cycle Retin-Alt Power Serum, $58.
I want to give this a try because it is a retinol serum that is supposed to target fine lines, wrinkles, pores and dark spots. I have some discoloration on my face that I’m trying to minimize, so I’m excited to see if this will work!
Fresh Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence, $68:
Powered by Kombucha, this essence isĀ supposed to be a step before you apply your makeup to help soften fine lines and replenishes moisture. I’m curious to see if I will see any difference in my face over the next month or so — I’ve never used an essence before so I will keep you posted!
And now for some things that I am re-purchasing as well as a few skincare items I think would be worth giving a try if you haven’t!
Fresh Vitamin C Glow Face Mask, $62:
I freakin’ LOVE this mask. It smells like heaven — citrus heaven that is — and it makes your skin so smooth and soft. I cant say enough about it! and at $62 it definitely is sale worthy.
Tatcha Violet C Radiance Mask; $68:
This is another face mask that I love that gives you nice glowing skin. It smells very spa like and I love how luxurious it feels.
Alright! Lets move on to makeup!
Some things I’m buying are….
Beauty Blender “BOUNCE” Foundation; $40:
I’ve wanted to give this foundation a try — I’ve heard good things about the formula, if not the shade range — so I decided to give it a try. I’ll let you know what I think!
Benefit’s Gimmie Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel; $24:
I’ve been recently obsessed with brow gels, so I thought I would go to the brow factory it’s self — benefit! and give it a try.
Now a few things I’ll be repurchasing and a few recommendations for you!
Guerlain, L’Or Radiance Primer; $74:
I love this face primer. It’s very firming and makes your skin look luminous. I don’t really think it minimizes pores, so I would suggest using it with a pore filling primer if you have that issue, but it does what it says it does!
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Eyeshadow Palette; $42:
Definitely worth the splurge! The shimmers in this palette alone make it worth the price — and if you can save some $$$ even better!
Benefits Brow Contour Pro; $34:
This is such a fun and innovative product! I’ve enjoyed trying it out and I would recommend it. I like that you get 4 products in one, but the one thing that it is missing is a spooli — so you’ll have to use a separate one if you like to use one. Otherwise, it’s lightweight and easy to use through the 4 products. 10/10 highly recommend.
And last but not least, lets talk Haircare!
Here’s a few things I want to try & would recommend to you as well!
Aquis Lisse Luxe Hair Towel; $31;
I’ve been looking for a nice hair towel that would be easy to travel with and would work at home. I’ve tried others in the past and been disappointed so I hope this one will work!
Christophe Robin Cleansing Volumizing Paste; $53:
This is one of the best hair scrubs I’ve ever used. One jar lasted me a whole year, mostly because I only use it once a week, but still — that says a lot! I really like how it cleans my hair, but even more — it really does help volumize my fine hair. Love!
Well. That’s about it! I hope you guys check out Sephora and pick up some items that you may need to refill or to try something new during the sale — it ends on Sept 3rd!
See ya tomorrow!
Xo,
Danielle
