Hello and welcome to another month! I can’t believe that it’s August 1st already! Soon kids will be going back to school, college football will be starting and leaves will be changing color — well at least they will everywhere except in Alabama where it feels like its going to be summer forever! But anyway, I thought I would pop in with a quick note of what I’ve been loving to put on my face this past month, so lets dive in!
Becca Ultimate Coverage – 24 hour wear Foundation
Ya’ll (see…alabama is getting to me…) this is some of the BEST foundation I’ve put on my face in a long time! It is so full coverage and it lasts and lasts and lasts. When I wear this, I don’t have to touch up, creasing in minimal, and it looks just as fresh at the end of the day (I’m talking 18hours+) as it did at the beginning. So good. You wont regret this one.
Luminous Silk Compact Blush by Note
I often wear blush when I’m doing a full face of makeup because once I’m done with my foundation and concealer I look like a fleshy potato, so I have to bring some semblance of life back to my skin. This blush that I got from my latest boxy charm box is prefect for doing just that. Its a warm peachy tone (I use the Coral color) but it’s not over-bright so you end up looking like a cabbage patch kid or a china doll. Its just right to giving a little kiss of color to your cheeks!
Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect Tan
So I’m a naturally pale individual and I don’t really like to tan my face {I mean it happens right? But hello sunscreen!} so I need, like NEED, bronzer. I’ve tried a lot of different kinds, some look like you just swiped mud on your face — hate that — and some make you look like a glowing goddess. Well thankfully this bronzer causes the later to occur because it’s freakin’ gorgeous ya’ll. It is limited edition though, so snatch it up while you can — I was on a wait list for a few weeks before I was able to order it! (also, if it goes away, never fear, they will probably bring it back again next year.)
Briogeo Superfood Shampoo and Conditioner
This shampoo and conditioner duo is just the thing for dry, sun damaged, summer hair! It smells like yummy apples and is full of great things that helps bring back your hair from the brink of despair! Not only do I love the way it smells, I also love that it’s made without sulfates, parabens, formaldehydes, phthalates, mineral oils, silicones, no artificial dyes — the list goes on and on. Bottom line, be kind to yourself and treat your hair accordingly.
Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5
Ok. So. I may have a small obsession with eyeshadow palettes. I mean, it’s not like I have a drawer in my bathroom dedicated to them or anything….but these are some of the best eyeshadows I’ve ever used! Natasha Denona can do no wrong in my opinion. Creamy, pigmented, and easy to blend — you wont regret spending the $$ to get these eyeshadows. I purchased “Color 8” (pictured above) from this line, but they have many different color options to choose from. And plus, if you’re not in the market for one of her bigger, more expensive palettes, than these series of 5 shadows are a great way to try the brand without investing too much money into it!
Pat McGrath Labs LUST: Lip Gloss
I can’t get enough of these glosses and I’m not even a huge lip gloss fan! That should tell you something. I usually think of lip glosses as something to put over top of another lip product, but these lip glosses from Pat McGrath are so pigmented that they stand on their own. The red alone (blood 2) is worth the money. Such a perfect red color and all the other glosses — ugh. I need them in my life!
OK, so that’s just a quick round up of what I’ve been loving lately — makeup and hair wise — this past month. I know it’s a lot more “higher-end” products, but I’ve got my eye on some drug store items that I want to try out this month so be on the look out for that!
See ya tomorrow!
XO,
Danielle
