Hello and happy FriYAY! Today I thought I would start a new series here on the blog talking about what I’m currently loving throughout the world of the inter-web and in life — so welcome to FriYAY Favorites!

I feel like there are so many things to talk about that I’m currently excited about but I’ve broken in down into 5 big things! So here we go:

So first up, I am currently obsessed with my Clarisonic Mia 2. Now, I’ve been using this on and off for a while, but recently have gotten back in the habit of using it everyday, at least once a day, and it has improved my skin so much!

I love it when a product actually does what it says it will do. My skin is fairly normal, though I do get the occasional zit or irritated skin, but this little machine is so effective at cleaning my skin and removing all of my make up that I like to cake on my face.

Best part? You can use it with any cleanser you like and it has interchangeable brush heads so if you are oily to dry to combo to sensitive skin, there’s a brush head for you!

I also love the make up brush applicator — it works best with more liquid foundation, but it blends it out so nicely! It’s definitely a beauty/skin care must try!

OK so up next, I’ve been obsessed with this article from Bon Appetit Magazine! It features recipes from readers that are freaking amazing.

I really want to give this Apple Cake a try

And this Leek & Potato Galette

And I already was inspired by this Salted Texas Chocolate Sheet Cake recipe and took my own stab at it (blog post coming soon!)

Needless to say, I was impressed by that article!

My next obsessions is The Pretty Dish Cookbook by Jessica Merchant! I love this book, it has so many different and versatile recipes that you could cook with it for weeks and never run dry of inspiration!

Next up, is all things Miami Beach! I’m heading there next weekend with a girlfriend for a few days of fun and sun so I’ve been doing a bit of research — not near as much as what she is doing — but I can’t wait to see everything and eat all the food!

We are staying at the Confidante Hotel which is going to be absolutely amazing!

And I’ve gotten a few ideas of what to eat from this article all about the Miami food scene! Yass Cubano Sandwich’s!

Alright and finally! for my FriYAY Favorites — The Alienist! This show. You guys. so good! My husband and I just finished binge watching it on TNT on demand and I not only loved the story line but also all the detail the producers and writers of the show put into keeping the historical references accurate.

So if you’re into psychological thrillers and aren’t afraid of a bit of gore — it’s a great show to get into! The full season 1 is available to watch on TNT and I can’t wait for season 2!
